Drug Screening

Bundled Laboratory, MRO, and Administration Services in one Invoice

CMS provides a variety of billing services for clients from MRO and Drug Screen Reporting to “bundling” your complete services by including all charges from the collection site, specimen transportation, laboratory, and MRO Services on a single monthly invoice to you.

Drug Screen reporting Options

The CMS computer system contacts the laboratories’ computers hourly to download all results available. NEGATIVE results are made available to you via several different methods. POSITIVE results are manually processed and reported via telephone notification.

  • WebResults are available to registered clients.
  • E-Mail Results are transmitted on a password-protected, encrypted format.
  • AutoFax Results are faxed to your “secured” fax hourly 6am to 7pm Mon-Fri; On weekends twice daily.
  • Telephone and Mail/Fax CMS Staff calls and mails or faxes your results after notification. Results are available from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday.

Review of Positive Drug Screens

CMS has the advantage of having a Medical Review Officer who made his decision in the early 1980’s to be involved with people with drug problems. Before the term Medical Review Officer (MRO) was introduced into the vocabulary of the transportation industry in 1988, Dr. Peterson had completed his advanced studies and began working with individuals who have drug related problems. He is a natural for understanding the issues relating to both the company’s need for drug free employees and the employee’s need to be drug free.

Karin LichtKarin Licht has managed the positive review portion of CMS for five (5) years. The same staff handles each positive drug screen. The same process of review is followed with each regulated drug screen.
